Donate
Giving money is the fastest way to put supplies in someone’s hands. It is not the only way, and we would rather have the right thing than the wrong donation.
Who you are giving to
We take food, water, hygiene supplies, socks and clothing, tents, blankets and sleeping bags directly to people living outside, and help them find a next step.
We serve Louisville and Jefferson County, and nearby Kentucky communities. We go out every two weeks.
Not By Chance, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our EIN is 41-3276459. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Where the money goes
Every dollar donated goes back into the work — supplies, and the things that make outreach possible, like storage and other immediate operating needs. No salaries are paid.
Not By Chance is entirely volunteer-run. Nobody is paid, and that includes the board and everyone in a leadership role.
We do not publish a figure for what a given donation buys. What one outreach takes in supplies, and why that number is an estimate rather than an expense, is set out on Transparency.
