Privacy

The short version: we collect very little, and the things we most carefully do not collect are about the people we serve.

If you are looking for help

  • You do not need an account.
  • The Navigator’s questions are answered on your own device. Your answers are not sent to us.
  • There is no analytics, no advertising pixel and no session recording on the help pages, the crisis pages, or the form for telling us about a camp.

If you tell us about a camp

  • Camp locations are never published. There is no public map.
  • Your contact details are optional, and only used to follow up on your report.
  • They are deleted 30 days after the report is closed.
  • Reports are visible only to Not By Chance staff.

People we meet during outreach

We keep records about places and about what we handed out — not about individual people. There is no file on anyone. We do not record names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, ID numbers, immigration status, diagnoses, criminal histories or identifying photographs.

That is not a policy sitting on top of the system. There is nowhere in it to put those things.
